For more than 20 years, Fondis Electronic (France) and analyticon instruments (Germany) have been distributing portable XRF spectrometers for metal analysis. Since 2016, Fondis Electronic has been manufacturing FEnX and FEnX2 XRF analyzers in France for detecting lead in paint.
This year, the Group is presenting FEnX-T, the first Franco-German analyzer.
FEnX-T for fast, easy, and accurate metal analysis
FEnX-T (T for Tube) will serve metal recyclers and quality controllers in the metallurgical industry. Those who need to identify or verify the composition of an alloy.
Innovative features, improved ergonomics, and enhanced durability!
The first innovation lies in the personalized traceability of analyses. With FEnX-T, each company can create its own validation steps (e.g., entering a supplier’s name, selecting the type of parts analyzed, taking a photo of a sample, etc.). Once created, operators simply follow the guidance provided by FEnX-T, which will take them through the steps.
The result: time savings and comprehensive information for enhanced quality control.
FEnX-T offers a second innovation: dynamic mode.
Operators no longer need to be proficient in elemental spectrometry. They no longer need to worry about settings, as FEnX-T recognizes the type of sample (iron, aluminum, copper, etc.) in a matter of seconds and automatically selects the correct mode and measurement time.
In terms of ergonomics, Fondis and analyticon have designed a lightweight XRF analyzer that offers three ways to navigate: with a joystick, a touch screen, and navigation buttons.
Robustness was paramount in the product’s design. FEnX-T is intended to be used in scrap yards or factories, so it must be able to withstand rain, dust, drops, and the risk of perforation when analyzing sharp objects. FEnX-T is equipped with a grille that protects its detector and tube.
Some key features of the XRF analyzer
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB connections- 2 cameras for targeting and photographing the sample
- 2-in-1 multi-station: battery charger and energy calibration
- Hot-swappable battery
- LEDs indicating device status
A unique service

Based in France and Germany, the technical teams are made up of experts in elemental analysis: they respond to customers within 24 hours (business days).
To calibrate the devices, Fondis & analyticon are equipped with patented Octopus robots that ensure high quality and repeatability.
Distribution areas
FEnX-T is distributed in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg by Fondis Electronic;
In Germany, Austria, and Switzerland by analyticon instruments;
In Italy, by Sirio analitix;
A future distribution network will open up the market to other European countries.
